BP , in its pursuit of zero accidents both on and offshore, is constantly promoting Health and Safety. H&S is of extreme importance to everyone everywhere, more so in dangerous environments e.g. Offshore. Their strategies have been refined and improved to offer significantly improved levels of safety offshore. They share best practice and continue to develop improved safety standards. Because of the content, the messages contained within a lecture or workshop, can be 'dry' by nature and as such they wanted a fresh and different method of conveying these important key learning messages.

Appointing Fifth Dimension
In their endeavours to a find new and different way of getting across their H&S messages, we were approached to provide our Business Presentations under the banner of Safety cannot be solved by waving a Magic Wand. Our presentations conveyed a variety of messages. During a magic workshop, we taught them simple magic tricks all with relevant H&S messages and metaphors, to prove that you can teach "old dogs" new tricks. With the aid of Sleight of Hand, we taught them that they had to keep their eye on the ball, that at times it was important to stand back and see a bigger picture, that the "Devil is in the detail"

The Results
Shortly after the event we received the following email.

"Within days of an excellent event on health and safety, we had feedback from Offshore Operations that what we had learned within the context on H&S had been
used and may have saved lives"
